St. Pete Pier

St. Pete Pier

St. Petersburg

Built in 2020.

Designed by ASD|SKY Architects and Rogers Partners Architects + Urban Designers.

The St. Pete Pier has been an integral part of the identity and image of the City of St. Petersburg throughout history. It represents the future of urban infrastructure. The project encompasses many things; economic development, urban resilience, environmental awareness, equity, access, and recreation. Overall, it’s a project that supports, enhances, and contributes to a growing community and the changing world. From its conception, the new Pier is designed as a collection of opportunities and a diversity of experiences. One can be over the water, high for a view, or down close for a biology lesson. The vision for the St. Pete Pier creates a multi-modal destination that embraces the pier’s role both as an icon for the City of St. Petersburg and an integral part of the vitality of downtown – a place for tourists and local community alike, honoring history, while establishing new experiences for a public, 21st Century waterfront. The Pier is reconnected to the daily life of downtown St. Petersburg, tying into transportation and recreation systems such as bike paths, jogging trails, parking locations, and public transit.
